Employee competency profiles can be enhanced with assessment scores from periodic evaluations. This integration provides a clear view of how well employees meet the competency requirements of their assigned role profiles.
Profile assessment overview
A completed competency profile might show that an exmaple employee:
- Meets expectations for two competencies (learning ability, communication)
- Exceeds requirements for one competency (Rest API)
- Falls below expectations for two competencies ( organising and planning, Swagger)
Competency update methods
Competency assessments can be updated through:
- Manual entry directly in the employee profile
- Evaluation update following periodic feedback completion
How to update competencies from evaluation results
To transfer evaluation scores to employee profiles:
- Navigate to your completed evaluation details (Results tab)
- Click the three-dot menu next to the employee whose profile you wish to update
- Select Update Profile Competencies
The system automatically transfers the new results to the employee’s competency profile.
Prerequisites for updates
Profile updates are only possible when:
- The employee has achieved 100% completion status for all evaluation forms
- All required assessments have been submitted
Which evaluation scores are used
The system uses the final aggregated score from the detailed evaluation sheet – this represents the average of final behavioural scores across each assessed competency.
Scores are updated precisely to two decimal places for accuracy.
Data matching and limitations
Competency matching rules:
- Perfect match: If all evaluated competencies exist in the profile, all scores are updated
- Partial match: If only some evaluated competencies exist in the profile, those are updated whilst others retain previous values
- No match: If completely different competencies were evaluated, no profile updates occur
Historical data considerations
Important limitations:
- No historical tracking: The system only displays the most recent competency scores
- No audit trail: Update dates and source evaluations are not stored
- No version control: Previous competency assessments are overwritten
This streamlined approach focuses on current competency status rather than historical progression, ensuring profiles reflect the most up-to-date assessment data for development planning and role alignment decisions.
