Email notifications for training budget overruns are configured individually for each training programme, not as a blanket department-wide setting.
When You’ll Receive Notifications
You’ll receive a budget overspend email notification only if:
- The training coordinator has enabled budget notifications for that specific programme
- A participant from your department enrolls in training that causes your department budget to be exceeded
Important Note: Since notifications are set per training programme, you may receive alerts for some training but not others, depending on how each programme has been configured.
Monitoring Your Department Budget
Regardless of email notifications, you can always monitor your department’s training budget in two locations:
Option 1: Budget Overview
Trainings > Budgets
- Available only with specific user permissions
- View all departmental budgets
- See overall spending across all training programmes
- Monitor remaining budget allocations
Option 2: Team Dashboard
Trainings > My Team
- Available for each manager
- View budgets specifically assigned to your department
- See team member enrollments and associated costs
- Track department-specific training expenditure
